Instruction Eccentric chin up
Exercise description
Starting position: Using a box or bench, grab a bar with an underhand grip. Thumbs pointing outwards, palms shoulder width apart. Gaze directed in front of you. Movement: take an inhale and start by using the box or bench to enter the position where you finish the pull-up movement, pulling your shoulder blades down and towards you. Maintain strong tension in your back and shoulder muscles and begin a slow, controlled lowering. At the final stage of the movement, let the air out. Continue the movement until fully stretched, then with the help of a box or bench, come back to the starting position of the exercise. Repeat the exercise a designated number of times at an appropriate pace.
