Instruction Barbell press on a flat bench
Exercise description
Starting position: 1) Lying position on a flat bench. 2) Feet stand firmly on the floor 3) Hands on the barbell with neutral spacing. 4) Chest pushed forward, shoulder blades pulled back, hands clasped firmly on the barbell. Movement 1) Maintaining the correct starting position, remove the barbell from the rack and place it above you on your straight arms 2) Exhaling, lower the barbell to your chest with your elbows at a 45-60% angle to your body 3) Return to the starting position by extending your arms Tips 1) Remember to position your shoulder blades correctly throughout the movement, do not push your shoulders upwards 2) Control the rate at which you lower the barbell. 4) Remember to position your elbows correctly in relation to your torso. 5) Stay focused. 6) Grip the barbell symmetrically so that the weight is evenly distributed between both arms.
