Exercise description

Starting position: Grab the barbell on an overhand grip, slightly wider than shoulder width apart. Feet slightly apart. Back straight, abdominals tight, glutes tight. Hold the barbell at collarbone height. Movement:Maintaining the correct starting position, inhale to stabilise the entire core and begin to press the weight upwards. Keep your elbows forward under the weight with your forearms pointing upwards. Do not lock your arms at the elbow joints - do not allow them to overextend. Then slowly lower the barbell to the collarbone line, exhaling. Repeat the exercise a set number of times at an appropriate pace.
